Decentralized Edge Computing For Real-Time Processing
Abstract:
Decentralized edge computing has emerged as a transformative solution for real-time data processing, especially in latency-sensitive and mission-critical applications. By distributing computing resources across localized nodes, decentralized edge computing reduces reliance on centralized cloud infrastructure, mitigating latency, bandwidth constraints, and security risks. The approach leverages advanced technologies, including peer-to-peer communication, AI-driven resource allocation, and blockchain-based trust mechanisms, to enhance scalability, fault tolerance, and security. As industries such as healthcare, smart cities, autonomous systems, and industrial automation increasingly require faster, more efficient data processing, decentralized edge computing offers significant benefits in these areas. However, the technology faces challenges related to security, resource management, and interoperability. This paper proposes a comprehensive framework integrating AI and blockchain to optimize decentralized edge computing, addressing existing challenges and enabling future advancements. By incorporating AI for dynamic resource allocation and blockchain for ensuring data integrity and trust, the proposed framework aims to enhance the performance, security, and scalability of decentralized edge computing systems. This paper will explore the potential and challenges of decentralized edge computing, outline the proposed framework, and evaluate how the integration of AI and blockchain can address critical issues in real-time data processing for various applications
