With more than 23 years at the intersection of research and large‑scale software delivery, Anil Sharma now serves as a Director Software Engineering at NetJets, where he steers advanced work in machine learning, distributed computing, and resource‑optimization. A named inventor on six issued patents, Anil’s portfolio spans autonomic cloud orchestration, ML‑driven anomaly detection, and next‑generation optimization solvers.
A frequent winner of industry hackathons, Anil is equally recognized in the open‑source community: the Linux Foundation profiled his technical leadership, and he has been entrusted with stewardship of Salt Project, one of the world’s largest configuration‑management platforms. He routinely brokers collaborations between engineers and academic partners, supervising joint research with university professors and Ph.D. teams in operations research.
Prior to this Anil shaped strategic innovation programs in VMware’s Office of the CTO. His expertise spans AIOps, ML systems, anomaly detection, and large‑scale optimization—domains in which he continues to publish, patent, and mentor the next generation of researchers.
