Fortifying the Future: Architecting AI Systems with Zero-Trust & Privacy-By-Design
Abstract:
AI-driven systems today process billions of transactions, power real-time personalization, and steer critical business decisions—yet they remain prime targets for breaches and regulatory scrutiny. In this talk, I’ll explore how to architect next-generation AI platforms with zero-trust security and privacy-by-design as foundational principles. Drawing on my work leading multi-cloud transformations and building event-driven systems processing over a million user interactions per second, I’ll demonstrate integrating AI pipelines with service mesh security, identity federation (OAuth2, SSO), and encryption layers to enforce robust data governance. We’ll also examine novel approaches such as federated learning to preserve data locality while still extracting global intelligence, addressing privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA. By coupling AI with advanced threat detection, anomaly modeling, and transparent audit trails, organizations can achieve not only regulatory compliance, but customer trust and operational resilience.
