Securing Data in a Perimeterless World : Secure Enterprise Data using ZTA Principles
Abstract:
Enterprise environments are evolving toward cloud-native, remote, and AI-driven architectures. Legacy security models that are built on implicit trust in internal networks are now inadequate.
The session provides information on securing enterprise data assets using the Zero Trust Architecture. The presentation focuses on keeping data as the primary target for threat actors and outlines a roadmap for implementing data-centric zero-trust controls.
The key topics discussed in this session include, data discovery and classification, identity strategies, encryption and tokenization methods and advanced monitoring techniques like UEBA(User and Entity Behavior Analytics). Enterprise-grade controls like DLP(Data Loss Prevention), microsegmentation, and SDP(software-defined parameters), which form some of the modern defense techniques, will be presented as well.
The session will end by providing guidance based on metrics-driven implementation which cites NIST Zero Trust Maturity Model. Participants will gain a blue print of deploying Zero Trust Security controls and incrementally deploying them to address data security at scale
