Big Data Analytics and Intelligent Security Systems: Transforming Cyber Defense in the Era of Scalable Computing
Abstract:
The rapid expansion of digital ecosystems has led to an unprecedented growth in data volume, velocity, and complexity, fundamentally reshaping the landscape of cybersecurity. In this plenary talk, I will explore how Big Data Analytics integrated with intelligent computational models is revolutionizing modern cyber defense mechanisms. Traditional security frameworks often struggle to manage large-scale, heterogeneous, and real-time data streams. However, advanced analytics powered by machine learning, distributed data processing, and intelligent trust-based systems enable predictive threat detection, anomaly identification, and adaptive risk mitigation at scale. The talk will examine how scalable data architectures, cloud-integrated analytics platforms, and AI-driven decision systems enhance situational awareness and strengthen infrastructure resilience. Case studies from research in intelligent recommendation systems, trust management, and large-scale network analysis will illustrate practical implementations of data-centric security models. Furthermore, the session will address emerging challenges such as privacy preservation, ethical AI integration, and computational scalability. By bridging big data frameworks with intelligent security strategies, this presentation highlights how computational infrastructure and data systems can be leveraged to create proactive, adaptive, and resilient cyber ecosystems suitable for the next generation of global digital transformation.
