Abstract:

As digital payments accelerate, financial systems must not only deliver speed and security but also embrace sustainability and intelligence. This keynote explores the convergence of sustainable computing, intelligent systems, and financial infrastructure, focusing on wire modernization, real-time payments, and ISO 20022 adoption. Drawing on my experience leading enterprise-scale modernization, vendor evaluations, and fraud prevention systems such as Wire Positive Pay and sanctions circuit-breakers, I will highlight how payment platforms can minimize energy use, optimize resources, and embed data-driven intelligence for fraud detection, compliance, and resilience. The session provides a roadmap for building payment ecosystems that are secure, scalable, and sustainable, enabling responsible growth for the future of finance.
