Modern mobility is no longer defined by speed alone—it must also account for safety, health, and resilience. Road hazards remain unpredictable, while drivers bring diverse medical vulnerabilities that can turn minor risks into life-threatening events. This keynote explores a proactive safety framework that unites AI-driven road hazard forecasting with medically-aware navigation. By combining real-time traffic and environmental predictions with driver health profiles, the system anticipates risks before they escalate and recommends safer, personalized routes. The approach leverages advances in machine learning and privacy-preserving design to forecast conditions such as traffic disruptions, pollution spikes, or accident-prone zones, while simultaneously factoring in individual medical sensitivities—from heart conditions to respiratory risks. Beyond protecting drivers, the framework empowers insurers, city planners, and healthcare providers to reduce accidents, improve claims readiness, and design healthier mobility ecosystems. Through case studies—such as heat-sensitive driving, respiratory risk during high pollution, and early detection of hazard patterns—this session highlights how intelligent, context-aware navigation can shift transportation from reactive to preventive.
