Sunil Agarwal is a seasoned software engineering leader with more than 18 years of experience delivering innovation, automation, and resiliency in enterprise-scale applications across the retail and SaaS domains. He currently serves as a Software Engineering Technical Lead at Cisco (AppDynamics), where he focuses on production support engineering for both on-premise and SaaS platforms. Sunil partners with engineering and product management teams to troubleshoot complex issues, reproduce customer environments, and ensure reliability, performance, and customer satisfaction.

He is widely recognized for creating impactful tools and automation frameworks, including the BookHouze Application, which enhances application instrumentation and monitoring. His initiatives—ranging from automating validation suites to predictive dashboards for anomaly detection—have consistently reduced toil and improved team productivity.

Previously at Macys.com, Sunil drove major technology transformations, including migrating critical systems to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), developing one-click data repair tools that reduced turnaround by 70%, and building bulk price update solutions that directly boosted revenue. His proactive monitoring frameworks using Splunk, AppDynamics, and Dynatrace significantly improved observability and responsiveness.
