Making AI Personal: How We’re Using Data to Keep Patients Connected to Care
Abstract:
AI is everywhere these days, but in healthcare, it has to be more than just smart—it has to be personal. In this keynote, I’ll walk through how my team and I brought GenAI and analytics into real-world care coordination at Fresenius Medical Care to help keep dialysis patients from falling through the cracks. We built tools that flag early signs of patient churn, pulled insights from messy, unstructured notes, and turned dashboards into real-time decisions—all while working through the very real challenges of privacy, compliance, and global collaboration. This isn’t about flashy tech. It’s about building something that works, scales, and—most importantly—helps people stay in care when they need it most.
