Agentic AI for Complaint Resolution in Financial Institutions Aligned with CFPB Regulations

Abstract:

This presentation shows a novel agentic AI system that automates complaint resolution in financial compliance, ensuring each complaint is aligned with relevant CFPB regulations and that all resolutions adhere strictly to regulatory guidance. Built using LangGraph and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), the system integrates large language models, retrieval tools, and multi-agent workflows to classify complaints, generate solutions, and compose resolution emails. Deployed in an enterprise setting, the system improves classification accuracy, turnaround time, and regulatory alignment. It incorporates fallback logic, hallucination detection and validation nodes to ensure factuality, fairness, and transparency.

Throughout his career, Shrikanth has led the design and development of AI-driven systems for complaint resolution, regulatory compliance, and multilingual communication. He has also played a key role in building and mentoring high-performing data science teams, fostering innovation in both public and private sector domains. His areas of interest include machine learning, large language models, multilingual speech processing, and ethical AI systems.
