Architecting Intelligent Systems: From Data Fabric to Cloud-First Innovation

Abstract:

The next generation of intelligent systems requires architectures that can seamlessly integrate distributed data, support real-time decision-making, and scale cost-effectively in the cloud. This invited talk explores how Data Fabric principles, combined with cloud-first strategies, enable organizations to build intelligent and adaptive systems. By leveraging Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse, metadata-driven automation, and medallion architectures Bronze–Silver–Gold, enterprises can unify heterogeneous sources such as DB2, Oracle, and mainframe platforms into a consistent and scalable framework. The talk highlights best practices for orchestrating data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and embedding AI-driven validation to enhance reliability. Real-world implementations demonstrate how these approaches reduce development time, improve compliance, and unlock new opportunities for intelligent automation. Attendees will gain insights into practical design patterns and architectural choices that drive innovation, resilience, and efficiency in modern intelligent systems.
