From Cloud to Edge: Building Intelligent Infrastructure for the Real-Time World
Abstract:
The rapid proliferation of connected devices, autonomous systems, and intelligent applications is redefining how data is processed, analyzed, and acted upon. Traditional cloud-centric architectures, while powerful, are increasingly challenged by the need for ultra-low latency, real-time decision-making, and localized intelligence. Edge computing has emerged as the next frontier—bringing computation closer to the data source and enabling resilient, scalable, and secure infrastructures that power the intelligent systems of tomorrow. This keynote will explore the evolving landscape of edge computing and intelligent infrastructure, highlighting the convergence of 5G/6G networks, AI-driven systems, and next-generation semiconductor technologies. Drawing on real-world case studies from healthcare, Industry 4.0, and large-scale IT infrastructure transformation, the session will address both the opportunities and challenges of distributed intelligence—ranging from security and governance to sustainability and hardware acceleration. Looking ahead, the keynote will present a roadmap for AI-native, edge-first ecosystems that seamlessly integrate with cloud platforms, paving the way for resilient and ethical communication systems. Attendees will gain actionable insights into how edge computing is not only transforming industries but also reshaping the very fabric of human–machine interaction in a real-time world.
