AI-Driven Network Access Control for Proactive Cyber Defense in Finance

Abstract:

Financial institutions are under constant pressure from increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks, with payment systems generating massive data streams that overwhelm conventional Network Access Control (NAC) solutions. This presentation introduces an AI-driven NAC framework that combines predictive analytics, machine learning, and adaptive access management to proactively safeguard financial networks.

Evaluation of multiple models demonstrates measurable gains in detection and efficiency. Neural networks reached 86.4% accuracy with a 9.7% false positive rate, while Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks improved to 91.3% accuracy with 7.2% false positives. Generative Adversarial Network (GAN)-based systems advanced further, achieving 94.8% accuracy and reducing false positives to 5.8%, albeit with higher computational costs.

At the system level, the Access Management System achieved 96.4% accuracy with a 23.1 ms response time, while the Threat Prediction Engine sustained 12,847 requests per second at 92.6% accuracy. The Compliance Monitor ensured 98.9% accuracy in meeting GLBA, SOX, and PCI-DSS standards through automated audit documentation.

These results confirm that AI-enhanced NAC can process high-velocity data at enterprise scale while maintaining analytical precision. By uniting predictive algorithms with compliance oversight, financial institutions can evolve from reactive defense to proactive, data-driven cybersecurity. Attendees will gain evidence-based insights into algorithmic performance, system scalability, and regulatory alignment, positioning AI-driven NAC as a vital innovation for protecting critical financial infrastructures.
