Cloud and Storage technologies for Computer Vision and Robotics

Abstract:

The rapid evolution of cloud and storage technologies is transforming the landscape of computer vision, robotics, and IoT, enabling intelligent systems to process vast datasets with unprecedented speed and security. This presentation explores cutting-edge advancements in cloud storage, including AI-driven optimization, software-defined storage (e.g., Ceph), hybrid cloud architectures, and enhanced security protocols, and their critical role in supporting real-time applications in computer vision and robotics. Drawing from practical experience at Automatic Data Processing, Inc. (ADP), where Ceph storage clusters were deployed to enhance HCM data processing, the talk highlights a case study demonstrating 25% performance gains. Recent trends, such as quantum storage and green storage solutions, are analyzed for their potential to shape future IoT and autonomous systems. Leveraging the presenter’s extensive publications, including articles in International Business Times and Analytics Insight, and recognition through Titan and Noble Awards, this session underscores the intersection of storage innovation and intelligent automation. The presentation aims to inspire collaborative research and practical implementations, aligning with CVR 2025’s vision of advancing technology for smart cities and robotics.
