AI-Enabled Enterprise Asset Management for Smart Industries

Abstract:

Smart industries are increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence, smart computing, and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) technologies. However, traditional Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems—largely reactive, siloed, and rule-driven—are unable to cope with the scale, complexity, and real time demands of modern industrial ecosystems. This keynote examines how AI-enabled EAM architectures, exemplified by platforms such as IBM Maximo Application Suite, enable a transition toward predictive, prescriptive, and autonomous asset management.

The talk highlights how smart computing techniques including machine learning, anomaly detection, edge–cloud intelligence, big data analytics, and digital twins—can be systematically embedded into asset lifecycle management. Drawing on cross-industry examples from manufacturing, healthcare, transportation, energy, agriculture, and smart cities, the keynote demonstrates how AI-driven EAM improves reliability, resilience, security, and sustainability. The session concludes with a forward-looking perspective on self-healing and autonomous asset systems, bridging cutting-edge research with real-world industrial impact.
