Beyond Static Pixels: Leveraging Generative AI and Computer Vision to Build the Storefront of Tomorrow
Abstract:
Most lifestyle photography in e-commerce remains just that—static pixels. But what if every image could automatically become an interactive storefront?
In this keynote, I will discuss the strategic development of "Shop the Background," a breakthrough feature that transforms passive visual inspiration into active transactions. Rather than a deep dive into specific model architectures, this talk explores the orchestration required to apply high-scale computer vision and generative AI to unstructured imagery. We will examine how to build systems that intelligently identify objects and retrieve relevant inventory in real-time, effectively bridging the gap between raw data and user intent.
The session focuses on the intersection of technical innovation and product strategy—specifically, how to navigate the complexities of accuracy and latency to build systems that feel effortless to the user. Attendees will leave with a perspective on leveraging these technologies to drive tangible business growth without losing sight of the customer experience.
