Abstract:

This session presents a practical roadmap for professionals developing expertise in cloud technologies to enable enterprise financial transformation. It focuses on three core pillars: technical mastery, financial domain fluency, and leadership capabilities to drive change at scale.

On the technical side, we explore proficiency across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud, highlighting resilient and compliant architectures for financial workloads. Key areas include multi-cloud strategies, DevOps practices that ensure reliable delivery, and security fundamentals aligned with regulatory requirements. The session also maps certification pathways spanning architecture and cloud security that validate readiness for operating critical financial systems.

Equally essential is financial domain knowledge. We examine how cloud integrates with enterprise platforms such as SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Cloud ERP, and Workday Finance. Expertise in revenue recognition standards (ASC 606, IFRS 15), planning, risk management, and compliance are emphasized, alongside analytics-driven applications in forecasting, fraud detection, and FinOps practices that link consumption with business outcomes.

Implementation experience anchors the roadmap, with discussion of structured migrations, cloud-based analytics patterns, targeted blockchain use cases, and cybersecurity approaches that safeguard sensitive data. Data governance, integration design, and auditability remain key throughout.

Sheetal Anand Tigadikar, CFA, PMP, is an IT and business process leader with 18+ years of experience implementing, integrating, and automating finance processes for global enterprises. She currently serves as Senior Project Manager at Palo Alto Networks, where she builds strategic technology roadmaps for FP&A and revenue groups and leads cross-functional teams to deliver secure, efficient, and compliant solutions across SAP S/4HANA, SAP RAR, OneSource, Ariba, Blackline, and Concur. Previously at VMware, she owned Finance Applications through the company’s shift from perpetual licensing to Subscription/SaaS, partnering with senior leadership and driving roadmaps, integrations, and secure payments across EMEA, APAC, and LATAM. Her earlier roles at Deloitte, Wipro (supporting Apple), Capgemini, EY, L&T Infotech, WNS, and IRIS span SAP FICO solution design, data migration, treasury and banking integrations, and global rollouts.

Across her career, Sheetal has delivered revenue growth of over $100M, cost savings exceeding $75M, and a 40% improvement in R2R productivity and accuracy, while completing 90% of initiatives on time and within budget. She holds certifications including PMP and multiple SAP credentials, and academic qualifications including CFA (USA), Chartered Accountant (India), M.Com, and B.Com.
